Jacksonville Pro-Development Soccer Team Wins First Match

Our opening night is a perfect one! A hot humid night ends as we defeat Deportivo Lake Mary 2-1 with goals from Babba (24th min) and Tek (89th min)!

Many players also made their club debut yesterday having a major influence on the match. Eric Rivera (CB) Clarence Huggins (Mid) and William Bomar (GK) made the starting line up. Logan Phipps (CB) came on in the 70th minute for a solid shift.

The team sets their eyes to defending Champs, GOSA Spurs FC this Saturday for our opening home game at University Christian Stadium.

Thank You

e pluribus unum “Out of many, one.” Our first UPSL has drawn to a close. We are excited to announce we have been promoted to the Premier Division. We are many. From different backgrounds, perspectives, nationalities, and walks of life but we are one. From the bottom of our hearts THANK YOU!!

UPSL Vice President Christian Vallejos said, “We are excited to welcome Oceanway FC to the Florida Division. The Jacksonville market is one we want to engage with every day and Oceanway FC is perfectly placed to be player there for a long time to come. We wish them success and look forward to seeing them on the field in 2021.”

Oceanway FC is owned by Nawal Gurung, Ngoni Mahosi and Nick Swanda.

“I believe that Oway FC and the UPSL have a common bond. We both believe in the integration of the community to serve a larger cause. The major factor that makes the UPSL appealing is that the league attacts players from the NCAA Division I university level all the way to the grass roots. It’s a league that has something for everyone,” Gurung said.
